Product description

MIG-ESP Primer quartz-filled is a ready-to-use, solvent-free, quartz-filled and alkali-resistant primer; especially for the DHMb Lining System (DHMb - double hybrid membrane). It is particularly suitable for use indoors and outdoors.

Technical data

  • Density: 1.45 g/cm3 ± 0.1
  • Binder base: Copolymer dispersion
  • pH value: 8.0 ± 1.0
  • Application: Outdoor and indoor
  • Colour: White
  • Drying time: approx. 12 hours
  • Processing temperature: + 5°C to +35°C

Work steps

Substrate preparation

The substrate must be clean, dry, solid and free of efflorescence, dust and loose parts or release agents (e.g. formwork oil). Dirty or sandy surfaces must be cleaned completely, depending on the substrate, by washing, brushing or using a high-pressure cleaner. When cleaning with water, ensure that the substrate is sufficiently dry. For critical substrates, carry out a tensile adhesion test.

Processing/Assembly

MIG-ESP® Primer quartz-filled is ready to use. After thorough stirring, apply undiluted with a lambskin roller, brush or suitable spray tool and allow to dry. The object and ambient temperature must not be below + 5°C and not above + 35°C. Before subsequent work can begin, it must be ensured that the primed surface is sufficiently dry. The drying time under normal conditions (+20°C/65% relative humidity) is approximately 12 hours. Lower temperatures and higher relative humidity extend the drying time.

consumption

MIG-ESP® Primer quartz-filled is applied undiluted. Depending on the absorbency of the substrate and the selected application method, consumption is approx. 0.20 - 0.30 L/m². Exact consumption quantities can be determined by creating test areas.

General information

Do not mix with other materials. Stir the material well before use. Cover adjacent components well or protect them against splashes. Clean tools thoroughly with water after use. Empty the containers completely and recycle them. In case of doubt regarding processing, substrate or special design features, ask for advice. Otherwise, the provisions of the current standards apply.

storage

Can be stored dry, frost-free and cool under proper conditions in the original sealed containers for at least 12 months from the date of sale.
