1. Prepare the surface

The substrate must be clean, dry, solid and free from efflorescence, dust and loose parts or release agents (e.g. formwork oil).

2. Apply primer

Depending on the substrate, apply e.g. MIG-ESP® Sealing Primer as a plaster hardener - allow to set for approx. 1 hour.

3. Stir

Mix MIG-ESP Exterior with an electric mixer for approx. 3 minutes until the consistency is creamy.

4. First order

Distribute MIG-ESP® Exterior, White evenly in a criss-cross pattern and roll in one direction in the last application.

5. Drying time

24 hours drying time between both coating processes.

6. Second order

Distribute MIG-ESP® Exterior, white or colored, evenly in a criss-cross pattern and roll in one direction in the last step.

MIG-ESP® Exterior dries quickly and is odorless during processing. The material must be stirred mechanically for approx. 3 minutes before processing. Cover all adjacent components well and protect them against splashes. Do not process in direct sunlight, rain or high relative humidity.

MIG-ESP Exterior should be applied evenly using suitable rollers, brushes or the MIG-Zip 52 sprayer. The nozzle size should be 2.5 mm. You can purchase the low-pressure MIG-Zip 52 sprayer with a nozzle size of 2.5 mm from us. MIG-ESP Exterior must not be mixed with other materials. When using rollers, brushes or paintbrushes, dilution with drinking water or MIG-ESP® Sealing Primer of max. 3% is recommended for better processing; when using the MIG-Zip 52 sprayer, dilution of max. 5% is recommended. The object and ambient temperature must not be below +5°C or above +35°C during application. Shading is necessary in summer temperatures. Surface drying is achieved after approx. 30 minutes. The drying time for each of the two coating processes is approximately 24 hours under normal conditions (+ 20°C/65% relative humidity). Lower temperatures and higher relative humidity extend the drying time.

The surface must be clean, dry, solid and free of efflorescence, dust and loose parts or release agents (e.g. formwork oil). For absorbent surfaces, a primer coat with MIG-ESP Sealing Primer is required. This solidifies the surface and evens out different absorbency levels. For metal and concrete surfaces, cement fiberboard and contaminated, penetrating surfaces, we recommend the MIG-ESP Special Primer as a bonding bridge. For tarpaulins, our MIG-ESP® PVC Primer should be used.

►To achieve the full effectiveness of the MIG DHMb Lining technology, a dry layer thickness of 0.40 mm is required! If MIG-ESP® Exterior is applied with a roller or brush, experience has shown that two coating processes are necessary to achieve the required layer thickness. When processing colored MIG-ESP® Exterior, MIG-ESP® Exterior, white should be used for the first coating process, and the second coating is then colored. Any construction defects or damage must be repaired before application!

consumption

Depending on the type and absorbency of the substrate, approx. 0.50 L/m² for two coats on smooth surfaces.

Rough, structured or highly absorbent surfaces can increase consumption considerably. Exact consumption quantities can be determined by creating test areas.

cleaning

Clean tools thoroughly with water after use. Empty containers completely and recycle them.

storage

Stored in a dry, frost-free and cool place under proper conditions in the original, sealed containers, the product can be stored for at least 12 months from the date of sale. Dyed goods must be used within 3 months.

guarantee

We offer a 10-year quality guarantee on our MIG-ESP Exterior coating. This guarantee applies exclusively to the product applied to the surfaces by specialist companies and not to the associated services in compliance with our guarantee conditions. A complete chain of evidence of correct application must be provided.
